“A promising debut” says Agrippina Legit

“I have a feeling that Hayden is going to end up with a lot of fans, and if you’re the type of person who tends to fall for the bad boys with hearts of gold, you should probably brace yourself for a new literary crush before picking up Something Witchy This Way Comes!”

“Something Witchy This Way Comes was a light and enjoyable read, which ably held my attention from start to finish. While I personally found myself wishing for a little more action and a little less romance, other readers will undoubtedly think the opposite. A promising debut from Veronica Blade.”

Mad Moose Mama: “I thoroughly loved [Something Witchy]”

☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ½
4.5 out of 5 Stars

“I thought the relationship between the two was a wonderful, emotional tug of war. The whole push me, pull me pace was enjoyable to read and just when you are about to get sick of the whole ordeal, the author turns up the heat and gives the reader more delight to feast upon.

“The dialogue and emotions are real and raw, there are some expletives and sexual fantasy scenes but I felt they worked with the characters and gave them more of an edge to their creation. Oftentimes the author used comedic wit to the scenes giving it an even more humanistic appeal to the characters.

“There were a few aspects that were predictable, however, there are more than enough twists and turns to keep everyone guessing. I thought the ending was perfect in its completion and I believe the author tied up most of the loose ends nicely.”

Chels gives Something Witchy 5 Stars!

☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
5.0 out of 5 stars

This review is from: Something Witchy This Way Comes (Kindle Edition)

This novel is full of action and mystery. Tessa was a great main character, she leads the reader through the story and allows the reader to view her innermost thoughts. Tessa is sometimes volatile, smart, brave, and inquisitive. The reader may want to shake the love interest, Hayden, every once and awhile. He is one of those charismatic heart breakers…he can be devoted, but the reader will still view a few scenes that will frustrate him/her.

This novel centers around witches and their abilities as well as the developing relationship between Tessa and Hayden. The reader will be entertained by at least one, if not both, topics. This novel is fast-paced and high energy. There are some scenes that were very well-thought out on the author’s part, the reader almost feels as if he/she could slip into the book and experience the events firsthand. This novel is highly recommended to teen/young adult readers.

“LOVE, LOVE, LOVE It!” Says Tarra about Something Witchy

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE, LOVE, LOVE It!

Wow! I am completely left speechless from this book. I have not came across a book i have fell in love with in a long time. This book was absolutely brilliant. I was sucked in from the first page. Twilighters: THIS BOOK, NOW – YES! =). I loved everything about this book. It gives you pretty much everything a book can give: witches, action, romance, mystery, drama. I laughed, got frustrated and tried to strangle my Kindle (in a good way of course) and of course me being the wimp i am, even teared up when reading this book.

This is a very good take on witches, i have certainly never read anything i could say was like this really. Very good take on the trials and tribulations of finding out who you are and how to accept it, and you go on that journey with Tessa, as she learns she is a witch while still in high school and then is thrown HUGE hurdles and made to make HUGE decisions that are literally life and death choices potentially, and her trying to figure out who she can trust and who she is as a witch and a person both. She doesn’t really have any parents because they basically don’t even want her, she only really has all these people telling her what she is and what she has to do and what she should do and why. She is a very good female lead, she is very brave but also very unsure of herself when it comes to her love life and private life, and i think we can all relate to her in some ways. And as for Hayden, the male lead …. well let’s just say him and Tessa are what made me want to strangle my kindle lifeless. Besides the fact the he also finds out he is a witch/sorcerer while he is being made to watch Tessa because she is told she is in danger from 2 rivalry witch communities. He and Tessa want each other so badly, so much sexual tension between them, so much chemistry, but either he was being a jerk or she was saying no she couldn’t trust him. Which given his background of being a partying man-whore i can kinda understand. But everyone deserves a second chance and i really came to like him a lot as well, when it comes to these books i am “team Hayden” when it comes to Tessa.

I think you will find this a very, very great read, whether you are YA or adult, i think it has something for everyone. It will for sure go down as one of my favorite books. And i want to thank the author, for giving me the chance to read her amazing book.

Thank you for all the kind words, Tarra! – Veronica Blade

1midnightwish’s thoughts on Something Witchy!

My Thoughts: An awesome read! Had me hooked from page one and couldn’t get enough!

Short Synopsis: Tessa, a high school student, discovers that she has magical powers. Two rival covens are trying to win Tessa’s alliance. Because of her position, The principal, a fellow witch, administers fellow delinquent Hayden, to protect Tessa from harm.

Principal Linton decides to appoint Hayden, a fellow student to protect and look out for Tessa from harm. Tessa and Hayden strike a deal, as Hayden promises to teach Tessa self-defense moves in exchange for tutoring sessions, as the tension between the two increases.

As Tessa learns more about her powers, she is also struggling to come to a conclusion as to which coven she should choose, as both have equally trusting members. Can Tessa learn to control her powers, as she finds out more about her family’s history, and figure out which coven to choose?

Action packed, and fast paced, Something Witchy This Way Comes is a great read! I loved reading about the chemistry between Hayden and Tessa. It was so cute reading how jealous and possessive Hayden got when it came to Tessa. It was also interesting to read the paranormal aspect and to find out all the powers that Tessa has. Overall, a great read with intriguing characters. Be sure to add Something Witchy This Way Comes to your pile!
